Kerala Tours

Kerala is a tropical paradise far from the tourist trail at the southwestern peninsular tip of India. Also called as “God’s Own Country”. The land of green magic, is a narrow, fertile strip on the south-west coast of India. The landscape is dominated by rice fields, mango and cashew nut trees and, above all, coconut palms. The Western Ghats, with their dense tropical forests, misty peaks, extensive ridges and ravines, have sheltered Kerala from main land invaders and encouraged maritime contact with the outside world.

With the Arabian sea in the west, the western Ghats towering 500-2700 m in the east and networked by forty four rivers, Kerala enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia. Lush hill stations and exotic wildlife. Waterfalls. Sprawling plantations and paddy fields. Ayurvedic health holidays. Enchanting art forms. Magical festivals. Historic and cultural monuments. An exotic cuisine… All of which offer you a unique experience.

Kerala is uniquely placed as an ideal adventure and eco destination. With Unique Ventures, you can explore the wilderness of the dense forests through trekking, mountain climbing, forest camping and bird watching.

Kerala possesses an unbroken tradition of Ayurveda that has surpassed the many invasions and intrusions both foreign and native. For hundreds of years the Ayurveda Vaidyas (practitioners of Ayurveda) were almost the only access for people seeking healing from every kind of disease in Kerala. The legendary eight families of Vaidyas (Ashta vaidyas) and their successors treated the entire state for centuries. Unlike the other Indian states the status of Ayurveda in Kerala is not alternative but mainstream. In fact, today, Kerala is the only State in India which practices this system of medicine with absolute dedication.

Experience an unforgettable journey to a magical realm when you travel in Kerala with Acorn Holidays.
